ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) with support from Ferring Pharmaceuticals today introduced the FertilityEquity™ e-Learning modules, powered by EngagedMD. This critical initiative is focused on championing equity in fertility care for Black women through education and direct application in clinical practice for healthcare professionals and fertility clinic staff.
The partnership aims to empower clinics and their patients with financing education, offering a seamless, integrated solution to increase access to fertility treatment
Addressing racial disparities in fertility care is essential, particularly for Black women who face unique challenges such as higher infertility rates and lower access to treatment. Education for both patients and providers is crucial in closing the equity gap, involving comprehensive information on fertility issues, treatment options, and cultural competence training for healthcare providers. A collective effort from the medical community and society is necessary to create equitable care, improve patient-provider relationships, and ensure all individuals have access to high-quality fertility services.
